it’s been some months since we added to our journal. this is what has been on our mind.

as a small brand, we think often about our purpose and mission in a world abundant with material items. when the clothing we wear is often produced unethically with materials far from natural, a return to simplicity, intention, and a slowing down of process seemed necessary. with our guiding ethos as the connection between ritual and sustainability, we take care in choosing long-lasting materials that are soft to the touch.

it only seems fair to reintroduce ourselves. we are monomo, a knitwear and accessories brand based in brooklyn, new york. our pieces are made to order, allowing us to meet demand without wasting materials. embracing a small catalog of pieces that have been thoughtfully designed, we are able to build our soft world of knits slowly, with purpose.

we are excited to introduce two new pieces into our world; a new take on our brushed mohair beanie, as well as a new color for our everyday accessory, the mini bag. our new beanie, in a pale purple with white clouds, is even fluffier than it looks. it’s perfect to keep out the winter chill while still wearing very light.

our newest mini bag is in the color soap. made from a blend of cotton and mohair, this mini bag is slightly fuzzy with a textured knit. the mini bag is the perfect everyday accessory, designed to keep everything you need in one place.

both of these new pieces came to light as a way to elevate the everyday rituals of getting dressed and packing your bag for the day, tasks that might feel especially mundane in the winter.
